Use Lanlan from Claude or ChatGPT

Already work in Claude, ChatGPT or another AI app? Connect Lanlan and build your site from there.

Everything in these docs works in your dashboard, in Tell Lanlan. This page is for people who'd rather build from an AI app they already use. Lanlan connects to it as a connector: the app gets the ability to build and change your Lanlan sites, using your Lanlan account.

No installs for Claude or ChatGPT. It takes about two minutes.

The connector address

Every app asks for the same address:

Your dashboard shows it too, with steps for each app: open Account settings and press Connect now (or Add another app) under Connect your assistant.

Claude (claude.ai or the desktop app)

  1. Open Lanlan in Claude's connector directory.
  2. Press Connect.
  3. Sign in to Lanlan when asked (see below). You land back in Claude, connected.

No directory link? In Claude, go to Customize → Connectors (on the desktop app, Settings → Connectors), choose Add custom connector, and paste the address above.

ChatGPT

ChatGPT connectors need Developer mode, which is on paid ChatGPT plans, on the web.

  1. In ChatGPT, open Settings → Connectors → Advanced and turn on Developer mode.
  2. Open Plugins, press +, and add the address above. (ChatGPT now calls connectors "plugins".)
  3. Sign in to Lanlan when asked.

Claude Code, Cursor and other apps

  • Claude Code: run claude mcp add --transport http lanlan https://mcp.lanlan.site/mcp, start Claude Code, type /mcp, choose Authenticate next to lanlan, and approve in the browser tab that opens.
  • Cursor: open Settings → MCP → Add new MCP server, choose HTTP, paste the address, and approve in the browser.
  • Any other app that supports MCP connectors (Cline, Windsurf, Zed and others): add a custom server with the address, then sign in when asked.

Signing in

When the app connects, a Lanlan page asks for your email. Press Send code, then type the 6-digit code from the email into the page. The code works for 10 minutes. If you don't have a Lanlan account yet, this creates one.

What's the same, and what's different

The app can do almost everything Tell Lanlan can: build and change pages, design with you, add pictures, set up forms and collections, publish, restore older versions, and more. Your sites, design brief and settings are shared, so you can switch between the app and the dashboard at any time.

A few differences:

  • Publishing. Sites you create from the app publish every change automatically. Sites you create in the dashboard wait for you to press Publish. The site's owner can switch either way in Site settings. Publish your changes.
  • Web search. In the app, searches use the app's own web search, not Lanlan's.
  • Uploading files. Apps can't always send files straight to Lanlan. If yours can't, it gives you a link to drag files into instead.
  • Looking at results. Forms, visitors, your domain and billing are easiest to see in your dashboard.

Plan limits are the same in both places: for example, a custom domain needs a Pro site either way.
