Manage your sites

Create another site, switch between sites, change a site's address, and delete or restore one.

See all your sites

Your sites is the first page of your dashboard. Click the Lanlan wordmark at the top of the sidebar to get back to it. Each row shows the site's status (Live, Not published or Not built yet), visitors over the last 7 days, and its plan. Press Edit to open the site in Tell Lanlan, or View to see it live.

Star a site to keep it at the top. With more than a few sites, use Find a site to search.

Create another site

Press Create new site. Lanlan opens Tell Lanlan with a new, empty site — tell it what the site is for. Your first site walks through it.

Switch between sites

The site's name at the top of the sidebar is a menu. Pick another site to switch everything in the dashboard to it. Sites other people have shared with you are listed under Shared with you.

Change a site's address

Your site's free address — the rosie-bakes part of rosie-bakes.lanlan.site — can be changed by asking Lanlan:

  • "Change my address to rosiebakery.lanlan.site."

Addresses can use lowercase letters, numbers and hyphens. A few names are reserved, and names other people use are taken.

The old address stops working at once, so update any links you've shared, or set up a custom domain that never changes. The old name stays reserved for you, so you can change back.

Delete a site

Only the site's owner can delete it.

  • On Your sites, open the ⋯ menu next to the site and choose Delete site.
  • Or open Site settings, scroll to the bottom, type the site's address to confirm, and press Delete site.

The site goes offline straight away. If it was Pro, billing for it stops, with credit for the unused part of the month.

Restore a deleted site

You have 30 days to change your mind. Deleted sites appear under Recently deleted sites on Your sites, with the days left. Press Restore.

A restored site comes back on the Free plan; make it Pro again if you need to. If its custom domain was taken by someone else in the meantime, you'll need to connect a different one.

After 30 days the site is deleted for good. Its address is never given to anyone else.
