Colours, fonts, spacing, layout — ask for the change, see it in the preview, publish when you like it.

Ask for the change

In Tell Lanlan, describe what you want in everyday words. You don't need design terms.

  • "Make the whole site feel calmer — more space, softer colours."
  • "Change the accent colour to a deep forest green, everywhere."
  • "Use a more elegant font for the headings."
  • "The home page feels crowded on phones. Fix it."
  • "Make the buttons rounder and a bit bigger."

The preview updates as Lanlan works. Use the phone and tablet icons at the top of the preview to check other screen sizes. When you're happy, publish.

See options before you choose

Not sure what you want? Ask to see a few:

  • "Show me three colour palettes for the site."
  • "Show me two ways the top of the home page could look."

Lanlan shows small swatches and mockups in the conversation, or concept pictures, so you can choose before anything on your site changes. Design your site with Lanlan.

Borrow from a site you like

Give Lanlan the address of a site whose look you like:

  • "Make my headings feel like the ones on example.com."

Lanlan looks at the site and takes the feel, not the copy. Start from a site you already have.

Your brand guide keeps things consistent

Lanlan keeps a brand guide for every site: its colours, fonts, voice and style. It's made from your design session, or worked out from your site's design if you didn't have one. Every change Lanlan makes follows it, so a new page matches the rest.

Open the Brand Guide page to see it, or press Print / PDF to share it with someone. The page is for looking; to change your brand, ask Lanlan:

  • "Make our greens a little warmer and update the brand guide."
  • "From now on, use a friendlier, less formal voice."

Small changes you can make yourself

To fix wording or swap a photo, you can click it on the page and change it directly. Change words and pictures yourself. Fonts, colours and sizes are changed by asking Lanlan.

Didn't like it?

Say so: "Go back to how it looked before." Lanlan changes it back from what it did in the conversation. If you've already published, you can also restore an earlier version. Roll back changes.
