Invite collaborators

Give someone else the keys to edit your site — a business partner, an assistant, a designer friend.

What you need

  • A Pro site. Inviting people is part of Pro, at $15 a month for that site. Plans and billing.
  • To be the site's owner.

Invite someone

  1. Open Team in your dashboard — it's under More in the sidebar.
  2. Under Invite a collaborator, type their email address and press Send invite.

They get an email from support@lanlan.site with the subject "You've been invited to" and your site's address.

  • If they already have a Lanlan account, they're added straight away. The email's Open Lanlan button takes them to sign in.
  • If they're new to Lanlan, the Accept invitation button creates their account (no password needed). The button works for 7 days. After that, they can still join by signing in at app.lanlan.site with the invited email address.

You can resend or cancel an invite that hasn't been accepted yet on the Team page.

What collaborators can do

People you invite can:

  • Build and change the site with Lanlan, in their own conversation in Tell Lanlan. They don't see your conversation, and you don't see theirs.
  • Change words and pictures themselves, and publish.
  • Manage collections and forms, read form messages, and see analytics.
  • Rename the site's free address.
  • Use Lanlan from their own Claude or ChatGPT, if they connect it.

If a form sends its emails to a single address, collaborators get a copy of each message too.

What only the owner can do

  • Invite and remove people, and transfer the site.
  • Connect, change or buy a domain.
  • Change anything in Site settings — publishing, search engines, passwords and the rest.
  • Choose who gets form emails, on the Forms page.
  • Pay for the site, and delete it.

Remove someone

On the Team page, press Remove next to their name and confirm. They lose access straight away, and the link to your private draft changes so any copy they kept stops working. Collaborators can't remove themselves; ask the owner.

If the site stops being Pro, the people already on it keep their access, but you can't invite anyone new.

Give the site to someone else

To hand over the site completely — for example, to a client — use Transfer ownership on the Team page. The new owner must already be a collaborator on the site. You stay on as a member, and you can't undo the transfer yourself. Billing moves to them, so they may need to make the site Pro again.
